NILA Meets for Lab Leaders Forum in San Antonio
NILA met February 28-March 1 in San Antonio for the exclusive, members-only 2025 Lab Leaders Forum and Mid-year Meeting. The event featured expert-led seminars and spirited open discussions on critical industry topics.
The meeting opened with retired laboratory executive and former NILA chair Pat Lanza sharing insights into NILA’s history and achievements. Presentations on February 28th offered perspective on the new Trump administration and strategies for 2025, legal considerations, and a discussion on artificial intelligence in the laboratory industry. NILA’s billing workgroup led a discussion about reimbursement problems being experienced by many NILA laboratories.
Attendees returned on March 1st for additional open discussions on supply chain issues and disaster recovery strategies, along with an insightful look into measurement uncertainty in laboratory testing.
